Sequim Lavender Fields

Join us as we celebrate all things lavender in the Lavender Capital of North America®, Sequim Washington. Enjoy a scenic drive, about 2 hours, and explore lavender fields. We will stop for lunch, at a local eatery, so bring a way to pay for your meal.
Members cost: $50. Non-Member cost: $65. Members sign up Tuesday, 7/1, and Non-Members sign up after Monday, 7/8.
Rainier Baseball Game

meet at the Center 9:30am, to catch the 10:30am ferry off the north end
Let’s all go out to the ballpark. Your ticket will get you a reserved seat, a ballpark meal (hot dog & bottled water) and a limited-edition Rainier hat.
Members cost: $25. Non-Member cost: $35. Members sign up Tuesday, 7/1, and Non-Members sign up after Monday, 7/8.
➜ Important Information About Trips: All participants need to be comfortable walking and standing for over an hour, possibly on uneven surfaces. If you have special needs, please bring a capable companion.

Registration will open on the 1st day of the month. If you prefer not to use a computer, you may go to the Center to register and pay in person. Space is limited, so sign up quickly! No refunds unless someone can be found to fill your spot. Price includes ferry fare, any admission fees, pro-rated costs for use of the van and driver’s admission fees. MAY TRIPS
May 8, 9:45am—Fort Nisqually docent led tour
This tour is specially designed for groups of seniors. The tours emphasize not only the Hudson’s Bay Company history, but also the ongoing restoration work that began in the 1930s. The tours start with a brief talk about how Fort Nisqually came to be in Point Defiance Park in the 1930s. Bring a bag lunch to eat at the fort.
Cost: Members: $15. Non-members: $25.
We will leave the Center at 9:45am, to catch the 10:30 am ferry, from the south end. We will have lunch or snack at the fort picnic area before our 12noon tour.
May 22, 9am—The Rhododendron Species Botanical Garden
The Garden dedicated to the conservation, public display, and distribution of Rhododendron species. Home to one of the largest collections of rhododendrons species in the world, the garden displays over 700 of the more than 1,000 species found in the wilds around the world. Guided tours cover seasonal highlights, the garden’s mission, and the stories underpinning our unique collection. Bring a bag lunch to eat at the gardens.
Cost: Members: $15. Non-Members: $25.
We will leave the Center at 9am, to catch the 9:40am ferry, from the south end, for our 11am tour. We will picnic after the tour.
Chihuly Garden & Glass, February 20
An adventure into the color and creativity of Dale Chihuly’s prolific work. Participants must be able to walk or wheel and explore a large public space on their own. We may explore in our large group or divide into smaller or personal explorations in the Museum. Staff can assist with loading off and on the bus, but we aren’t able to provide one-on-one assistance throughout the day. Member cost for this trip: $48 (includes Museum admission and all transportation); non-Member cost is $58.
VIVA TOUR, Saturday, December 7
Vashon Island Visual Artists (VIVA) Holiday Tour 2024: Saturday, December 7. Be driven to a few of the spots with multiple artists, it’s a perfect way to meet the artists, and see them in their environment.
